Toothcation Dental Price Index: October 2026 edition
Prices as checked in October 2026. Live prices: the Dental Price Index.
The October edition of the Toothcation Dental Price Index gives a median price for each city and procedure, with the number of clinics behind every figure, across cities in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia. In this edition the All-on-4 medians run from $6,298 in Ciudad Juárez to $12,334 in Mexico City. This post covers the cities with the lowest and highest medians for each main procedure. The full set of medians by city and procedure is on the index page, and the same data downloads as a CSV file.
How each figure is made
Of the 5,565 current headline prices on Toothcation, 1,494 come from dentists' own Doctoralia profiles. The rest come from clinic websites. Each price shows when it was checked. Toothcation never edits a clinic's price. A price that looks unusually high or low for the procedure is flagged and left out of the medians and ranges rather than deleted.
Each clinic counts once, at the median of its own prices for a procedure, and a city's median is the median of those clinic figures. A median is hidden when too few clinics have a price for that city and procedure. The Ciudad Juárez All-on-4 figure rests on 3 clinics, which is the minimum Toothcation will show a median for. A clinic cannot pay to move up on any price or clinic page. The methodology page sets out how prices are collected, dated, flagged and turned into medians.
Reading the median and the middle range
A city's median is the midpoint of its clinic figures. No median here is a quote for you or a promise of what a clinic will charge. Use it to judge a written quote, and ask what the quote includes. Toothcation has a form to request written quotes from clinics.
The middle range runs from the lower quartile of the clinic figures to the upper quartile. Take a single implant with crown in Tijuana, where 17 clinics stand behind a median of $1,610. The middle range is $1,500 to $1,900 and the full range is $999 to $3,192. The low end of that full range is a starting price, so treat it as a "from" figure.
The implant median in Cancún, $1,580, comes from 3 clinics, so only a few clinics stand behind it. Each figure carries the date it was checked, which is October 2026 for the Tijuana implant figure and September 2026 for the Cancún figure.
US comparison figures are Toothcation's US reference ranges, each with its source and year on the price pages. The Tijuana implant median is 46-68% less than the US reference range of $3,000 to $5,000.
Single implants and All-on-4
Medellín has the lowest median for a single implant with crown, $1,350 from 4 clinics, and that median is 55-73% less than the US reference range of $3,000 to $5,000. Cancún follows at $1,580 and Tijuana has the highest median at $1,610. FindTheNorm's dental cost guide advises checking the implant manufacturer, warranty coverage and the availability of follow-up care before committing 1.
All-on-4 replaces an entire arch of missing teeth using four dental implants 2. The index prices it for a single arch. Ciudad Juárez has the lowest median, $6,298, from clinic figures that run from $4,280 to $9,999. San Luis Río Colorado is next at $8,650 from 4 clinics, then Los Algodones at $8,900 from 18.
At the high end, San José has a median of $11,705 from 4 clinics and Mexico City has the highest, $12,334 from 3. Apart from Los Algodones, only a few clinics stand behind each of these figures. The Ciudad Juárez median is 58-75% less than the US reference range of $15,000 to $25,000, and the Mexico City median is 18-51% less. The All-on-4 price page has the median city by city next to the US reference range.
